Field Maintenance
SVGS would like to thank everyone who came out for Field Maintenance Day! The fields at all locations look great!
Game Schedule
The game schedule will be released this Friday and shortly after, the snack bar online registration link will be open to schedule yourself for snack bar duty. Remember, every family must work 4 hours per registered player.
Opening Day
Opening Day is right around the corner! Your team mom's should be passing out important information regarding this event! Please be sure to read it. We will once again have the shuttle vans from Simi Valley Town Center to the fields. We strongly recommend carpooling and the shuttle vans. The main parking lot will be shut off, open only to those with parking passes.
Expenses
SVGS encourages all to obtain team sponsors to offset expenses such as lights, fun socks, team party expenses, etc. We would like to remind everyone any sponsorship money must be payable to SVGS and deposited into your team's account. Your team mom's have a sponsorship letter for SVGS which includes our Tax ID #.
Also, in most cases, parents should write checks for team expenses to SVGS. For example, someone purchases fun socks at $8 and asks for reimbursement directly to them - this is ok however, let's say someone asks for $25 or more for expenses such as batting cages nights for the month or light expenses for the month or a combination of expenses which total a larger amount - the person should ask for a check payable to SVGS in cases such as this and then that person should be obtaining a check from SVGS for these expenses or reimbursement. Please understand that we do not encourage large out of pocket expenses by individuals that require parents to write large amounts to a person. The larger expenses or combination of expenses that amount to a large sum should be run through team account's to protect everyone involved. Thank you for your understanding!
All Star Participation
Here is a reminder regarding important ASA dates that involve allstar eligibility. If your daughter is still playing for a travel team, please take note:
- An allstar team shall not have any player who participated on a travel type team after March 31st.
- An allstar team shall not have more than four players who participated on a travel type team any time after February 1st of the current year.
